Home and Garden Television uses the phrase "Change the World, Start a Home."  You may enjoy watching HGTV, but are not sure what painting, decorating and remodeling your home has to do with changing the world.

But think about this...

What if we started in our own homes with helping our kids to have a Biblical Worldview, to trust God no matter what is going on in their lives, to do what they know is right even if everyone else is doing something different?  And then, what if what you are doing in your home is caught by other families at RiverTree, in your extended families, in your neighborhoods?  It is said that faith is more often caught than taught.  We believe that if we start this type of living in our homes, we can change the world!

You may be thinking...."Wow, that is a lofty goal"... We believe it is one worth pursuing.  Here are some well known statistics:

- 85% of all Christians accept Jesus by the age of 14 years

- Parents are the number one influence in a child's life

- Only 1 out of 10 Christian families practice any faith in their home beyond possibly a mealtime prayer

Deuteronomy 6:5-9: "And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.  And you must commit yourself to these commands I am giving you today.  Repeat them again and again to your children.  Talk about them when you are at home and when you are away on a journey, when you are lying down and when you are getting up again.  Tie them to your hands as a reminder, and wear them on your forehead.  Write them on the doorpost of your house and on your gates."
